Postby type85 » Thu Mar 23, 2017 10:09 pm

Installed new about 2 years ago, about 5k mi. running E85, the rubber o ring has some white deposits, almost like a white powder, it's only on the end that's inserts into the fuel rail....

Might be a silly question but is it just corrosion?

From what Ive read(and I may be 100% wrong) ethanol corrodes aluminum, not bad enough that it is going to eat through a tank or fuel rail but a small amount of surface corrosion is possible.
